Swedish for Immigrants (SFI)
The purpose with SFI courses is to give a basic knowledge of the Swedish language.
Sfi is for you who do not have Swedish as your mother tongue. At Sfi you will learn to speak, read and write Swedish at different levels of competence. You will learn about Swedish society and how to use a computer.You may study at Sfi if you are over the age of 16, lack knowledge of the Swedish language and if you are registered resident in the municipality of Ludvika or Smedjebacken.
Sfi has four courses A-D. Final tests, which everyone must take, are held in courses B-D.
Many people want to join Sfi so you may have wait for an opening; however, you are guaranteed enrolment within 3 months.
When you have been accepted, a notice will be sent to you. You will be asked to come for an interview and to take some tests. Then you will be placed in one of our groups, depending on the length of your education.
